Have you ever noticed we cannot even talk to each other any more as Americans? There is so much labeling, so much antagonism, so much polarization.
And our world is not a very friendly place either. seems no matter where we go, it is a minefield.
Those of us who are working are struck by the pressure of doing the jobs of 2 or even 3 people. And that means for those of us fortunate enough to even have jobs.
We may be consumed with social media, but as a society we are more isolated than ever. Our neighborhood streets barren. Either too busy or not busy enough. It has become the American way.
It is certainly not easy raising kids. Under the best of circumstances.
Yet, there is hope. We the American people have the capacity to rise up and overcome the problems that face us today. We will do this by the process of raising our awareness and focus more on what we can do to change from within rather than deplete our energies attempting to change the world around us.
We will do less yelling and attacking, more educating, listening, learning and communicating. We will advocate for ourselves and what we need. We will develop more self-sufficiency and learn to live as a community again. We will care for all members of our society, our children, our seniors and value each and everyone's presence and contributions.
When the history books write about us, they will reflect back that this is the greatest paradigm- shift era in all of human history. And here we are. So let's get past the feelings of chaos and overwhelm and start focusing on things that are really important. And let it begin with each one of us. We are the change we need to see in the world.
